‘Bridge Beers’ is a High Street bottle shop and Micro Pub. The intention is to supply, promote and celebrate Real Ale.

The Micro Brewery revolution has seen an explosion of small, local breweries. There are now around 1400 breweries in the UK providing a wide variety of quality beers. This is the largest number since the 1930s and includes an additional 204 in last 12 months[1]. As an example, just in the immediate area you find:

Newton, Hyde

…as well as innumerable breweries in Manchester and Stockport.

Following on from this, there is now a growing movement to tap into this supply. A new type of outlet is on the rise with an expected 200 MicroPubs in operation by the end of 2015[2].

As defined by the MicroPub Association:

‘A MicroPub is a small freehouse which listens to its customers, mainly serves cask ales, promotes conversation, shuns all forms of electronic entertainment and dabbles in traditional pub snacks.’

With its emphasis on locally sourced, craft beers ‘Bridge Beers’ will provide a family friendly environment on the High Street, offering a relaxed café bar atmosphere.
